It is issued for 4 years by Campus France and validated by an independent commission", Campus France.
Objectives and criteria of the “Bienvenue en France” label
The “Welcome to France” label is a tool for informing international students about the real conditions in French institutions, a means of promoting the initiatives taken by institutions in this area to international students, and a quality initiative to improve the reception arrangements within institutions.
Four criteria are analyzed:
- Quality and accessibility of information
- Quality and accessibility of reception facilities / quality of campus life
- Quality and accessibility of the training offer and support for teaching
- Quality of post-graduation follow-up
Actions taken by IMT Mines Albi to welcome international students
Today, international students account for 24% of the student body, compared with 15.3% in 2016. The school has a number of initiatives in place for international students. These include:
- A preparatory training offer: since 2014, the French Summer School has welcomed students of all nationalities to IMT Mines Albi, during the two summer months. The aim is to prepare them to be autonomous and successful in their studies in France. They benefit from intensive French courses, participate in the development of a pedagogical/scientific project, and familiarize themselves with French culture and the South-West of France, thanks to numerous activities and excursions.
In 2020, IMT Mines Albi is organizing the 1st edition of the Summer School for Internationalization, which will welcome 120 Indian students to the school.
- Welcome products: free transport tickets, welcome at train stations or airports, banking or cultural partnerships. Student welcome is managed by the school's international relations department.
- International week: organized every year to accelerate the integration of international students, this event mobilizes the entire school community.
- Language courses: depending on their needs, students can take advantage of intensive FLE courses or specific English courses.
- Accommodation for international students.
- Finally, the school is developing a digital platform to encourage interaction between students.
