After your fifth year of pharmaceutical studies at one of our partner faculties of pharmacy, you can join the general engineering program at IMT Mines Albi and become a pharmacist engineer.

A pharmacist engineer from IMT Mines Albi develops the necessary skills to work as a manager for production or development in the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, fine chemicals and pharmaceutical biotechnology industries, for mastering current and future technologies and for regulatory affairs.

Training available via a student track or a work-study track

You can join the pharmacist engineer program as a student or as a work-study student. Depending on the sector, the admission track is different. Please note that applications to the same IMT Mines Albi engineering program in the same year through two different admission tracks are not permitted.

You will join the IMT Mines Albi general engineering program in the second year (Master 1)! At the end of your two years of training at IMT Mines Albi, and after defending your thesis, you will obtain two degrees: the Doctor of Pharmacy degree from your home university and the general engineering degree from IMT Mines Albi.

During your training, you will take an in-depth look at the themes of ecological and digital transitions, and the factory of the future.

How to apply to the pharmacist engineer program at IMT Mines Albi

Based on application and tests during your 5th year of pharmaceutical studies. 

Application deadlines 

  • student track: Tuesday, February 25, 2025
  • work-study track: Tuesday, March 11, 2025

 

Entrance tests

Entrance tests will be held at IMT Mines Albi over the course of one day:
 

  • student track: between Monday, March 24 and Thursday, March 27, 2025
  • work-study track: between Wednesday, April 16 and Friday, April 25, 2025

20 places are available on the student track.  
15 places are available on the work-study track.

International pharmacy students wishing to apply must take two additional steps: submit their application on the platform and submit their application on the Études en France platform by Campus France. It is also possible to apply to the pharmacist engineer program under a vocational training agreement or through lifelong learning via the application platform.

Accommodation and student residences

IMT Mines Albi offers its students the possibility of accommodation in one of the school’s eight student residences. These residences are located on the IMT Mines Albi campus (Jarlard residence) and in downtown Albi (Gambetta, Jacques Halfon and Temporalité residences). IMT Mines Albi is only a 15-minute bike ride from the residence furthest from the school.
