Campus France renews Welcome to France 2-star label for IMT Mines Albi

The “Welcome to France” label, created by Campus France in 2018, distinguishes establishments that develop and enhance welcome services for international students.

The “BIENVENUE EN FRANCE” label, a guarantee of quality for international students

For the second time, IMT Mines Albi has been awarded the 2-star level of the "Bienvenue en France" label. Recognition for its policy of welcoming international students. This label is awarded to establishments that develop and promote welcoming services for international students. This means that IMT Mines Albi meets the international quality standards set for the policy of welcoming foreign students to French higher education establishments. The label is awarded for 5 years.

The “Bienvenue en France” label is a tool for informing international students about the real conditions in French institutions, a means of promoting the initiatives taken by institutions in this area to their international partners, and a quality initiative to improve the reception arrangements within institutions.

Five criteria are analyzed:

  • Quality and accessibility of information
  • Quality and accessibility of reception facilities / quality of campus life
  • Quality and accessibility of the training offer and teaching support
  • Accommodation and quality of campus life
  • Quality of post-graduation follow-up

IMT Mines Albi, an international school by definition

IMT Mines Albi is developing numerous initiatives to welcome its international students. Today, international students represent 17% of the school's enrolment. Among the actions developed in favor of international students:

    •    the French Summer School welcomes students of all nationalities to IMT Mines Albi every summer. The aim is to prepare them to be autonomous and successful in their integration at IMT Mines Albi and their studies in France. They benefit from intensive French courses, participate in the elaboration of a pedagogical/scientific project, and familiarize themselves with French culture and the South-West of France, thanks to numerous activities and excursions.
    •    welcome kit: welcome at the station or airport, banking or cultural partnerships, welcome booklet, amphitheater specifically for international students.
    •    specific support: the referent system enables international students to be supported throughout their studies by a teacher-researcher or staff member in the development of their career plans.
    •    International Week: organized every year to promote the integration of international students, this event mobilizes the entire IMT Mines Albi community.
    •    Language courses: depending on their needs, students can benefit from intensive FLE courses or specific training in English.
